I don't think Knoppix has anything that can restore data from a fat/ntfs formatted disk.
Try something like PC Inspector under Windows instead.
It's Freeware and works great.

One of my wonderfull co-workers formatted a HD before checking to see if it had been becked up. Is there any way to get this data off using Knoppix (or any other *ix). I'm trying to correct this issue before a customer or supervisor finds out so he doesn't have to face a firing squad. (No pun intended)
Thanks for any help in advance,
Rick
