it also says that it is a readonly drive from the root shell any sugestions?
My hard drive is partitioned into 3 seperate partitions 2 NFTS for XP and on e 3gig FAT32 linux drive, when ever iu try to even create a new directory ar anything while operating with Knoppix i am told i donot have permission to do this how do i get permission to acess my hard drive??
it also says that it is a readonly drive from the root shell any sugestions?
NTFS is NOT accessible in read-write mode, not supported by the linux kernel. For the fat32 drive, right-click on the icon on the desktop, then click on "enable read-write".
P.S: there's BitDefender (based on knoppix) that supports read-write on NTFS by using the windows NTFS driver; available at http://www.bitdefender.com/bd/site/p..._id=25&n_id=58.
thx i dont need to use the NFTS drives i just wanted to use my FAT 32 drive, is there a way to make it write enabled when i save my settings?
