Thanks baldyeti!! I saw that line while tinkering in isolinux but wasn't sure if I needed to supply a new keyboardmap file or not.
As for firefox, I will probably update it when I upgrade KDE to 3.2- sometime in the next week or two. Gotta get everything straightened out in this iso first though. Browser plugins were a major pain. I couldn't get flash working in firebird 100% because of of gcc incompatibilites- almost ditched it for opera. The current flash plugin doesn't work with new mozilla-based browsers.
Does anyone know how Knoppix manages to allow su to root without a password? I tried to make an alias in .bashrc for su='sudo su' but it doesn't work. And its only in KDE where the user knoppix is prompted for a password when trying to su.![]()

Naturally, I checked this first and found it to be unchanged and set exactly as it should be.
The problem is localized to KDE or perhaps kdm. Unfortunately, most KDE documentation I've come across tells you how to do things with KDE widgets in the Control Center, and not how to directly manipulate config files.
Thanks for the advice, Stephen.
Looks like you just have to use "sudo su" instead of just "su" in this remaster, at least for now.
Status- fixed some last minute bugs and uploading to my site now. Will be available around 9PM CST.
Does anyone know if software RAID has been added to the kernel in the newest version?
No clue on RAID, I don't have it![]()
So I see OCX 3.4 is up. Damn, you should've posted earlier. I just started dling Fedora.
Too bad the link seems dead
anyone have a torrent?
Well, the iso that's up still has some bugs in the kmenu and kicker icons. Should have it fixed tomorrow morning. It is useable though...
The torrent link is still up at http://www.boegenielsen.dk:6969/ (I just started seeding my copy). We also have the anonymous FTP feed at ftp://68.213.18.238/Knoppix/.Originally Posted by devilotx
