I've had good results running Knoppix on a wide range of hardware (other than cheap laptops with the SiS-630 chipset - any fix for this?)
The problems have started where machines have more than one display adapter (such as Intel 845M chipset laptops) and when Knoppix misidentifies a video capture card as a display adapter (eg. Matrox capture card identified as G450).
What would be really useful is if Knoppix presented a list of video cards detected, identified whether PCI or AGP and asked which card to start X with.
Also, for the next release, please can we have the "high performance liquid" KDE style and "slick theme" icons to show the Mac 10.2 users what Linux is good for ;-)
