After you install Knoppix, it becomes Debian. So, to update:

apt-get dist-upgrade
works wonders!
Hi,
I have a blank system that I just installed knoppix (the old one) on. Now I have no 700mb cds to burn knoppix onto, but I want to replace the installed knoppix with the latest just-released one.
I figure i could reformat my swap as an ext2, copy the latest iso there, and then do some sort of boot-from-hd procedure, at which point i'll install the latest iso (wiping out the old install).
I'll just have to wait unti the install is finished before i set up and activate the swap partition.
what do you think? advice? is there some easy procedure i can follow? seems like an awful lot of trouble ...
thanks
