knoppix noob how can i save files to hard drive?

I did an hdinstall using a boot disk knoppix loads fine. Can't configure my brother laser multi function or my modem or my soundcard but what i really need to know is how can i save data to the hard drive. Please "Explain it to me like i was a five year old" anyone who knows the movie thats from You Rock! [/b][/u]

Right click on the drive in question and change the read/write mode.
