Seems like like it somehow manages to use native NetBIOS instead of NetBIOS over TCP/IP. Strange, I thought SAMBA can't do w/o TCP/IP. Does anybody know any details about that ?
Using Knoppix I can easily mount my Windows 2000 shares via
smbmount //192.168.1.100/Shared /shared -o username=name,password=pw,rw
Trying the same with Suse 9.0 it just complains the connection was refused. What exactly is Knoppix doind different here ?
