install over pclinuxos

have a dual boot setup now with xp and pclinuxos. would like to install knoppix where pclinuxos is and dual boot wither xp or knoppix. how do i do that? i started to but got confused at the partition table stuff. thanks!!

You might like to back up your bootloader (/lilo.conf or whatever) to floppy first.

Otherwise, have another fully formatted DOS floppy to hand, and just go for it. Knoppix should recognise (and enable you to use) the pclinux partitions. Just make sure you don't overwrite the Windows ones. Make the / partition booteable (I always use primary partitions). Make a boot floppy.
