ATI Rage Pro video card

The view on the monitor is completely unreadable after I start Knoppix. The information view at the beginning (before ENTER) is fine. Have tried xmodule=vesa and xmodule=fbdev and other cheats. They do not help.

Suggestions?

try checkin in lilo.conf and changing vg=*somenumbers* to vga=normal

Use the boot parameter vga=normal at the boot screen, ie:
knoppix vga=normal (... and any other necessary "cheat codes")

Thanks, that got me past the first hurdle. Now I can see the boot screen.
With the additon of screen=800x600, even KDKE worked.
