knoppix-installer not detecting my harddrive?

hello,

I was prepared to install knoppix on my second hdd. I had looked at the installation several times, but never completed it. But last night I thought that I would go through with it... but what happens not, but the installer can't seem to find my second harddisc! I have _never_ had any problems with that before... i can see, and configure the filesystems in qtparted. But cfdisk can't seem to recognize it. I have no problems reading the files on the hdd either. What could have happen? Is there a way to not use cfdisk when to install knoppix?

Sure - don't partition the hdd. Just make your partitions with whatever tool you feel comfortable with BEFORE launching the installer. The installer will list any partiiton that is big enough to hold Knoppix.

You should be able to do

cfdisk /dev/hdb
