Use dpkg -i --force-overwrite /var/cache/apt/archives/kdelibs-data_4%3a3.2.2-2_all.deb as root and that will force the overwrite the file.
apt-get updating the kde packages a to 4.3.2.2-2 has resulted in kdelibs-data breaking. The output from fix broken is:
My guess is that I need to uninstall openoffice-de-en (and maybe install from another source) before I can fix kde.Code:(Reading database ... 96276 files and directories currently installed.) Is using dpkg --force-overwrite likely to cause apt issues in the future?

openoffice-de-en is a compressed version made for knoppix, its best to get the actual package.
try:
apt-get remove openoffice-de-en
apt-get install kdelibs-data
then you apt-get openoffice again if u like...
I tried that (about an hour ago).
It wanted to uninstall kde completely...
I've fixed (gotten around) the issue by doing a dist-upgrade rather than update of packages.
Thanks for the suggestions.
