Learn to use a subject line that conveys meaningful information. If everyone used subject lines like your this board would become a useless mess.
You can go back and edit your original post and change the subject line to something more informative. Until you do you will get no help from me.

my bad. sorry man. im new to this stuff. i thought i downloaded all the correct files but apparently not because it wont boot up from cd. i have the bios up to date and it is set to boot from cd.
All of the information that you should need is in the dowmloading faq, reached by following the documentation link near the top of this page. ockham23 already has tried to point you to this information, but you seem to be ignoring the post.
If there is something missing from the downloading faw or that is not clear, ask, we will update it if needed or clear up your confusion. Do read all of the faq, don't skip over parts like the md5 sum just because you have never done that before.

Verifying of md5 checksum and burning a CD at slow speed are important.
is it possible to put too many files onto the bootable image cd? i had the following files on the cd:
knoppix_v3.9-2005-05-27-EN.iso
knoppix_v3.9-2005-05-27-EN.iso.md5
knoppix_v3.9-2005-05-27-EN.iso.md5.asc
knoppix_v3.9-2005-05-27-EN.iso.sha1.asc
packages
Read the downloading faq and follow it.Originally Posted by 5734L7H
If you don't follow the steps there you can mess up the burn in any number of ways. If you follow the instructions that a number of people have spent a lot of time writing and refining for you, then this question becomes meaningless.
i had the following files on the cd:
knoppix_v3.9-2005-05-27-EN.iso
knoppix_v3.9-2005-05-27-EN.iso.md5
knoppix_v3.9-2005-05-27-EN.iso.md5.asc
knoppix_v3.9-2005-05-27-EN.iso.sha1.asc

and btw i dont have any of the programs listed on the faq... all i have is the windows burning thing where i just drag the files to the cd rom drive
