I hope somebody can help me with this problem: I mounted both an internal IDE FAT32 volume and an external Firewire FAT32 volume. looking at the user rights, they appear exactly the same, read/write:
/dev/sda1 on /mnt/sda1 type vfat (rw,nosuid,nodev,umask=000)
/dev/hda8 on /mnt/hda8 type vfat (rw,nosuid,nodev,umask=000)
Nevertheless, the external drive is read-only, while the internal works both r+w. Any idea?
regards,
Dieter
