I have a small question...
Let's say you boot knoppix with the tohd cheat code so that knoppix is copied to hard disk and runs from there... and let's say that i use a 1GB persistent disk image to merge with the Live CD contents... As i see it, i need a hard disk of 700 MB + 1GB minimum so that the LiveCD and Disk Image can fit together when merged...
No my question is... What if the LiveCD is loaded in RAM not in hard disk (i.e without the tohd cheat code) and i still use the 1GB persistent disk image (i.e. home=....) do i need to have 1GB+700MB minimum ram for everything to work?
I mean, does the tohd cheat code give you more RAM available since Knoppix is being loaded from hard disk and not from RAM? And can this option (tohd) be used in PCs with low RAM?
Thanks
Robert
