hi all
A week ago i just got a new sata disk, so i have installed version 4.0 with which i am very happy.
today i tried to DD the partition just to save it. I boot from another ide hdd where i have version 3.6 and run(the sda1 disk was not mounted)
dd if=/dev/sda1 of=/home/conan/save/zaloha.file
but after one hour it stopped with info that i do not have more space to save.
so i boot again from sata disk the 4.0 version and run
dd if=/dev/sda1 of=/dev/null
370233927+0 records in
370233927+0 records out
189559770624 bytes transferred in 3332.174483 seconds (56887708 bytes/sec)
my question is, why it record so much giga, when my disk is full only from 5% - 8GB
i hope it is not because, i have created by mistake a swap disk 10gb instead of 1gb.
thankx for advice
