ok im at college and in engineering we use a program called proengineer that runs in unix on a server. we have a lab to use the program that is on the other side of campus. i want to connect to the server and use the program but i run windows and the programs that allow a unix eviroment in windows are too slow and not cheap. so i firgue get knoppix run the cd and use my engineering program. here is the problem to connect to the internet i need AEGIS Client whic they do make a linux version of. how can i run the aegis client? do i put it on the cd, on my hard drive, what? im not using knoppix for anything accept proe, mp3 (music and engineering are good together), and maby some web browsing.
im new to linux but i can use unix.
thanks
jonathan
