I heard something that the BIOS on Dells won't allow you to use Knoppix. Or was it that the BIOS won't let you to boot from a CD?

You can boot from cd with a dell, I do with my Dimension 8200, just enter the bios and switch the boot order, think it is delete at start up to enter bios.
