After extensive searching, I found all the necessary materials to make a boot disk...but the only image available is for Knoppix 3.3.

I am trying to get Knoppix to run on a computer of mine I like to call Old Junker, which has a dead hard drive and only 16 MB of RAM (should still be enough for CLI anyway). The BIOS on it is very dumb, and it can't boot from D: straight away.

The farthest I've ever gotten was booting with: knoppix 2 init= option, but levels 1, 2 and 3 all return this error:

INIT: Entering runlevel (number chosen):
INIT: no processes left on this level
*freezes*

Some other errors that appear earlier than this:
ACPI: Unable to locate RSDP
isapnp: Unexpected or unknown tag type on device 1, ignored (someone told me this is just a plug 'n' play error)

a bit later...

/etc/localtime: unable to run (some nasty message to that effect, I don't remember what it is right now)

So, will a proper boot.img ever be made for Knoppix 3.6? Or will I just have to get version 3.3?
