Yes.
It uses isolinux, which not all bios's support. There is a boot.img on the cd ( called orig-boot.img i think ) which can be used to make a boot floppy.
i've created a hebrew remaster for KnoppixKDE and one of the users claimed it didn't even boot from the cd. He also said that the Original knoppix3.1 worked just fine.
Other users didn't have any problems.
i know KnoppixKDE uses a different kind boot loader , could this be the source of the problem ?

try opening with winiso (windows tool) knoppixkde.iso
then menu
bootable cd
load boot.img
save knoppixkde.iso and burn
I have not tried this hybrid version yet but it may work
open knoppix3.1.iso (or knoppix3.2)
delete knoppix folder
add (copy) knoppix folder from knoppixkde
save and burn
