alsa autodetect does not work (for me) anymore in knoppix 3.7 (2004-12-08-EN)
I tried it on two machines. Both were recognized fine with knoppix 3.6, but failed to autoconfigure with 3.7 and both kernels (2.4 and 2.6).
Defining the appropriate modules manually (which are "maestro3" resp. "intel8x0" in my case) on the boot prompt still works. However they load with warnings on 2.4 (and trying to modprobe them manually fails with "unresolved symbol" - which looks to me as if compiled against a wrong kernel?)
since I wanted to rely on this as part of a remaster, any hints how to fix this appreciated.
(otherwise I'll stick to 3.6)
