I am running Knoppix over diskless clients and have had success booting up said clients over a network from a host system. I can give the clients internet access by enabling the proxy server, Squid, and configuring some options. Clients then have to have their web browser settings edited to include the proxy server settings.
My question is, is there a way for the clients to boot up Knoppix and already have the browsers configured to use the proxy server? That way they can immediately have access to the internet. Having to individually tell the browsers on each client to use a certain IP address and port number for the proxy is a bit too time consuming for my needs.
