    K3B won't burn anything, period.

I wanted to do a poorman's install of Debian/Knoppix, so I decided to burn off everything on my secondary FAT32 HD. As I go to burn with K3B, it says that there was a buffer failure, and to try using a lower speed. So I move it all the way down to 1x, and it still reports a buffer failure. Any ideas?

Oh, and I can't use XP or anything else instead, Knoppix is all I have at the moment.

Do you have DMA enabled? See my post here http://www.knoppix.net/forum/viewtop...?p=82884#82884.

You know, that could very well be the problem. Thanks for the tip, I'll have to give that a shot next time I boot Knoppix.

Ok, DMA works fine, everything is alot faster, but K3B still spits up the same error. I messed around with some settings on the burn, and now it says it was unable to allocate memory. Any other ideas?

PS, here was the last error it gave me.

I've seen a recent post on this: from memory (hah!) you need to configure K3B so that it can use a bigger partition as swap.
