ndiswrapper broke on 3.8.1 & 3.8.2

Today is Saturday May 21

ndiswrapper does not work for me on either 3.8 dot 1 or 2. The ndis gui barfs with the final message "no new devices..."

modprobe ndiswrapper says "can't find module..."

ndiswrapper -m says " module alias already present"...

Now what ????

Today is Thursday June 02....

I just instaled Knoppix 3.9 on partition HDC3 .... booted from GRUB diskette.... configured wireless DLINK PCI adapter with NDISWRAPPER and bingo !!!

It works.....

Either a lot of things were fixed or I had a bad 3.8 ISO
