Gaim Encryption problem

I am having a problem installing the Gaim encryption package. I am running apt-get install gaim-encryption in the root shell but it bombs everytime with the error E: Couldn't find package gaim-encryption. I don't know any other way to get this installed. Please help

Since gaim-encryption is in the Debian package repositories, apt-get install gaim-encryption should have worked. Have you updated the package lists: apt-get update? Is your /etc/apt/sources.list properly configured?
