full list of software included on disk

Where is there a list of all the applications on the cd? I realize that may be a fairly lengthy list. I'm working on my own custom cd and a possible port to sparc.

here or in a console window dpkg --get-selections > packages.txt to re-direct a list of the installed packages to the file packages.txt in the current directory.
