If Mobile's a modem with a SIM card why can't datamodem be mobile with close-talk mic-headphone and a computer? This question formed in my mind the first time I had a datacard / datamodem in my hands. If I knew enough about writing programs, I would build a software mobilephone with my computer, datacard and close-talk mic-headphone. Utility? To send SMS, talk from the computer, browse the internet, ... all at the same time and at the same place, with the same SIM card. Question is: Is there specific software in Linux to do this? In Knoppix in particular?
