usb mouse problems

i am just trying knoppix but wen i load the desktop.......the wireless usb mouse only will go up and down, not side to side.......the keyboard, which shares the same usb reciever as the mouse, works fine.......any tips......im at a party and my buddy wants me to try and fix his puter.

ok im not at the party anymore...but we are still trying to find the answer to this problem......cmon guys.....whats going on here?

I should hope you're not still at that party- sheesh!

I don't think alot of people have the wireless kb/mouse combos yet- I'd search around on some other Linux forums perhaps and of course enter the brand name/model into G4L
