No sound on Compaq Presario 2811EA

Knoppix boots great on my laptop. It also detected my usb cablemodem! Great! But i'm having troubles with sound. It didn't detected my soundcard and xmms freezes. Also my mouse (a Microsoft Explorer optical and wireless) doesn't work very well. Althought it moves ok it seems to click even when i'm not using it. Very strange. ALso the arrows of the keyboard don't work.

It seems that i have sound on frozenbubble game. But still Xmms refuses to work.

I also have the combo drive and floppy on the same bay. With knoppix runing i guess i don't have access to my floppy..

Is there any way to use persistent home with a usb pen drive without using a floppy? It would really help in this case..
