First installation ok... and the others?

what it has happened to me is really very strange. During the first knoppix installation all has gone well, after I had problems with CCompiler. So I have decided to repeat the installation but unfortunately every time that I log on as knoppix user and launch X it freeze in phase of start, this does not happen when I log on as root. I had repeat the installation process (knx-hdinstall) several times.. always with the same problem.
How it is possible that all the first installation (or nearly) and hour went well not?
Someone had the same problem?

Perhaps something got screwey with the user Knoppix. No matter- just create your own ser like so:

Log in as root and do:

adduser username

Then just put yourself into /etc/group for everything you want to have acces to and also put your new username in /etc/sudoers like so:

<username> ALL=NOPASSWD: ALL

Then you can use sudo without entering a password everytime. You can then get rid of the user Knoppix if you like. AS root:

deluser knoppix
