Does Knoppix Kernle have the new NTFS driver patch or still use the old driver?
If it sill uses the old NTFS driver that may be a reason to Knoppix to move to the 2.6 Kernel sooner rather then later.

Does the new patch support write as well as read ? (without killing the ntfs system ?)
The new NTFS Driver does not really support writing. From their web page
"Still read-only, but with safe file overwrite support on all Windows versions without changes to the file size and if the file is over 1 kB"
However it is a better over all driver apperently.
