Knoppix detect my OKI 8w LITE Printer by paralel ort, but don't work.

Why?

Have you used the Knoppix (aka KDE) printer config wizard? Just click on the menu, go to the knoppix folder, and look for the printer config option. When you first run it, it will most likely come back with an "client error" message. Just ignore this and click "ok" and then click on the add new printer button. Post back here if you have problems.

Hi all,

Everything great so far... except printing.

I have noticed that several posts mention a "knoppix" folder somewhere, where there should be some "printing" install. I wonder where that "knoppix" folder is. In the KDE of my version of knoppix (bought from cheapbytes a week ago ... version 3.1, Jan 20 2003 release, I can find no mention of a "knoppix" folder at all!

The rest is really amazingly nice. But I would very much like to be able to at least have a way to setup the printer.
