splash background and konqueror autostart

these to things i would like to change but i can't figure out how

in detail:

on startup konqueror loads either with the cdrom/index.html or (as i removed it) cdrom/KNOPPIX/index.html

and

a low res (blurry) version of the background image is displayed in the background while kde is loading and displaying the splash screen (u know that thing with the blinking icons ...)

can someone tell me how to make changes to these things?

X background- The X background file is /cdrom/KNOPPIX/background.gif
and also here: interesting stuff in /etc/init.d/xsession :
it ALSO sets background as /usr/local/lib/knoppix.gif
