Lilo problem

I've got a problem with Lilo.I have on my hard disk Knoppix and Windows XP.I add in lilo.conf freedos but when I select it Lilo run my Windows 98 wich I delete.How to boot Windows XP?

ok. i had the same problem but i finally solved it.
you have to make sure that the /etc/lilo.conf file has the right settings in it.
this is an example of a working lilo.conf file:

image=/boot/vmlinuz-2.4.18-14
label=MYSYS
root=/dev/hda2

append="hdd=ide-scsi root=LABEL=/"

other=/dev/hda1
optional
label=WindowsXP

#end of lilo.conf

make sure you change "hda1" to where window$ is and "hda2" where your linux system is (also change the image path, initrd, and append...)

that should do it. it works fine for me but there's no guarante.
