Win XP Live CD is still WinXP, and Knoppix is Linux, and this is clear. Nobody forse you to use OS whic is hard to setup for you. Don't forget - Knoppix is not the only Live CD Linux, you have choice of many of them, one can work better than other. Win XP is only one, if you have problem - you have problem, no choice.

BTW, why you compare Knoppix 3.7 with Win XP, there are newer version of Knoppix.
