Problem with cloop and kernel v 2.6.8.1

hi,

i've tried to compile cloop 2.01 with kernel v2.6.8.1, but everytime return following error:

cc -I/usr/src/linux/include -I/usr/src/linux/include/asm/mach-default -O2 -D__KERNEL__ -DMODULE -fno-builtin -nostdlib -DKBUILD_MODNAME="cloop" -DKBUILD_BASENAME="cloop" compressed_loop.c -c -o compressed_loop.o
compressed_loop.c: In function `clo_read_actor':
compressed_loop.c:205: structure has no member named `buf'
compressed_loop.c: In function `clo_read_from_file':
compressed_loop.c:231: structure has no member named `buf'
make: *** [compressed_loop.o] Error 1

i've also tried the kernel-patch.. But this doesn't work either. After compiling correctly, modprobe return this error:
modprobe cloop
FATAL: Error inserting cloop (/lib/modules/2.6.8.1/kernel/drivers/block/cloop.ko): Invalid module format

Someone an idea ?

It looks like you need to find an updated patch that has been posted in these forums a few weeks ago.

structure changed.
You have to change buf -> arg.buf
