boot knoppix with the cheat code:
knoppix nofstab
I changed the bios order on an old dell latitude laptop so i could install linux, and afterward, the computer seems to think it has no hard drive. i have tried putting a different hard drive that i know works in the bay, but still the computer acts as if there were no hard drive at all.
i have successfully booted a mandrake move disk on this computer, but knoppix seems to hang at hardware detection. is there a cheat code i can use to make knoppix skip hard drive detection at boot up?
thank you
neal
