How Do I Get KDE 3.3 Panel Icon Behavior in 3.4?

Greetings,

I prefer the KDE 3.3 panel icon behavior where the icons get larger on mouseover. I just did a Knoppix 3.9 hdinstall and the panel icon animation is different - an annoying bubble pops up over the icon if you have animations enabled.

Is there any way to get the KDE 3.3 icon behavior in 3.4?

Not that I have been able to find through google. You can however disabled the bubbles in the control center.

Apparently it's called "icon zooming". If I remember right, it existed in ALL the earlier 3.x versions, and maybe in 2.2. An ugly idea would be to grep the KDE configuration files for a version where that was an option and was enabled--to get the sysntax--then plug it into the corresponding file in 3.4.
