Nvidia 2 Radeon

I changed my Nvidis 8500GT to Radeon HD6450 and I have garbage ofter the grub stuff on both Mint15 and Knoppix7.0.5. Same problem if I live boot either DVDs. Mint 15 on my laptop is great with the Radeon HD6310 that's why I got the new pcb and that the 8500 was doing strange things. Any ideas? Ian

I don't know if this will help but here are two things
you might try. HTH

1. See if Knoppix 7.2 solves your video problem.

Will do. Oh yes, how do I get into a command line terminal after it boots to garbage? ctl alt gives different garbage. Ian

This should make me at least an intermediate contributor.
I edited the grub menu (e for edit) after selecting Knoppix from my choice of distro and adding.
vga=771 //the lowest possible vga 8 bits x 800 x 600
after that it was magic. Ian
ps now that mint is shattered next job recover.
