Right after it boots, you'll see a splash screen and at the bottom, it'll say something like this:

    Code:
    KNOPPIX V3.2 http://www.knoppix.de RELEASE: 2003-06-06-BETA
    F2 for help.
    Boot:
OK, so that's from an ancient version, but you get the idea. Type in your "cheatcodes" at the boot: prompt -- or press F2 for a list. If you don't type anything in, it'll boot with the defaults, one of which is using German.

    chronictoker420,

Awwwwwww, come on, you can learn German can't you?

Didn't you read the Frequently Asked Questions:

    Code:
To run Knoppix requires a working knowledge, and ability to be fluent in the German language.
Just kidding, since Knoppix was "born" in Germany, the language is "usually" defaulting to this language, use the "cheatcodes" on the boot prompt to change it to what you prefer... Either that, or you will probably have to know how to read German. [giggle]

Proper format for cheatcodes on the boot: prompt...

boot: knoppix [option] [option] [option] [...]

your boot command, just to change to english, would be:

    boot: knoppix lang=us

    or

    boot: knoppix lang=en

On some of the versions, the "en" works, and on others the "us" works - so try one first, if you still get german, try the other - this should get you to english...

    Hope this helps,
    Cuddles
