New to knoppix

Hello my freind had knoppix on a disk and it looked sweet and i want it on a spare HD and i was wanderign would i need to format my spare HD to install knoppix it is now running windows 2k how would i do this??

Kaho, no, you don't need to format the hard drive if you don't want to, part of the Knoppix installation will have you partition/format the HDD. If there is anything that you wish to save on the hard drive, or if it is running windows, look into the faqs here in the forums, there is quite a couple about running both Knoppix and windows.
