Forgot Windows 2000 Admin Passoword

So now I'm using knoppix to boot on to my PC. But someone told me there's a way to change/erase the password for windows while you're on knoppix. Is that true? Someone help!!

You can locate and put together a copy of UBCD 4 Windows. It has a copy of Offline NT password and registry editor available as an image. Or run Knoppix and go on the web to locate a copy of Offline NT password and registry editor. The editor is also downloadable as either bootdisk images or bootCD images. It is probably easier to use as Nordahl has packaged it rather than try to run it over Knoppix.
