Sound Not Working

Hi,

My sound does not appear to be working. I am a Knoppix and linux noob.

I am not sure what sound chip my motherboard uses. The mother board is a Gigabyte GA-945P-S3 Socket T (LGA 775) Intel 945P ATX Intel Motherboard.

From the knoppix menu (penguin icon) click on configure, then soundcard configuration.
Your motherboard uses the Intel ICH7 chipset so you should be able to get this working. Which version of knoppix are you using?
