Use Knoppix in different way

Hello,
I want to ask if it is possible to use Knoppix in this way: boot from CD (copy all to RAM), save all changes on reboot/shutdown to .img file (or any other file) on NTFS partition on memory stick?

I found out that what I am looking for is home= cheat code, which does not exist anymore :P
In that case it's many better to do remaster and load it to RAM and run. But it's not even near to home= cheat code.
