**Working Apple Macintosh 128K M0001 Computer (1984) & Printer / Floppy Drive** For Sale
**Working Apple Macintosh 128K M0001 Computer (1984) & Printer / Floppy Drive**:
The Macintosh 128K, originally released as the Apple Macintosh, is the original Apple Macintosh personal computer. Its beige case consisted of a 9in (23cm) CRT monitor and came with a keyboard and mouse. A handle built into the top of the case made it easier for the computer to be lifted and carried. It had an initial selling price of $2,495 (equivalent to $6,215 in 2020). The Macintosh was introduced by the now-famous $370,000 (equivalent to $921,682 in 2020) television commercial directed by Ridley Scott, "1984", which aired on CBS during the third quarter of Super Bowl XVIII on January 22, 1984. Sales of the Macintosh were strong from its initial release on January 24, 1984, and reached 70,000 units on May 3, 1984. Upon the release of its successor, the Macintosh 512K, it was rebranded as the Macintosh 128K. The computer's model number was M0001.
This is a very rare piece of computing history. This Macintosh 128 (M0001), with serial number F43433UM0001, was the 3598th manufactured during the 34th week of 1984 in Fremont, CA. This means it is one of the earliest Mac's made that year and in the grand scheme of things, it was one of the earliest Mac's ever made period. The computer has been tested and boots up beautifully with no problems at all and the mouse and keyboard are also in excellent condition and working perfectly. This sale also includes a working Apple A9M0303 dot matrix printer and a floppy drive reader. The printer will be shipped in a separate container/package.
