1984 Macintosh original 1st Mac 128K Model M0001 EMPTY case housing, both front bezel and back case halves with internal metal cage bracket only, no internals, NOT a working computer. Ready to use as a replacement external case for an either an original 1984 Macintosh Model M0001 128K or a Mac 512K Model M0001W, as they both used this same identical case housing. Rare hard to find original Mac case in complete clean and nice undamaged condition, some typical discoloration from age, NO cracks or splits, just has so typical pry marks to case seams as shown in the photos. Great to collect and display or use for a custom project!
Thedifficult tasks of removing the high voltage CRT monitor, analog power supply board, drive housing, etc. have already been done and the empty case is ready to use. This case can beused for parts, a custom project, or for a full replacement original 1984 Macintosh computer case housing for one that is badly yellowed or damaged.Case is in excellent condition overall, very clean and nice. Original serial # label on front under monitor ledge starts with F444 indication week 44 of 1984 production. NO rubber feet on bottom, case is clean and detailed. Original 128K Model M0001 label on back of case only, NO front or rear emblems remain on case as shown. NO battery compartment cover included. Inside has the molded signatures of the original Mac design team including Steve Jobs as shown.
