For sale: One complete grayscale setup for Apple Macintosh SE/30. This kit includes all you need to enable grayscale on your SE/30 in the same fashion as the Micron Xceed video cards. Switching between external monitor and internal grayscale is as simple as (dis)connecting a VGA cable while the machine is off!

B&W, 4, 16, and 256 colors/grays modes are supported.Supports System 6 - 8.1, A/UX (tested w/ 3.0), netBSDPlug and play, no software required: all functions are configured in Monitors control panelCompatible with SE/30, IIsi, and third party ROMs in 24 bit and 32 bit modes.Works with accelerators: tested on Carrera 040, Interware Booster 30-SE50F, DiimoCache 030, PowerCache 030, Turbo 040
Linear LCD Gamma and CRT Gamma are provided for each mode (Grayscale defaults to CRT; VGA defaults to LCD)Passthrough slot for use with additional PDS cardsWorks in IIsi, sans grayscale.
Grayscale harness uses longer wires for stacking and 18 gauge +5v/+12v wires to reduce voltage drop.Recommended to have a recapped logic board, analog board and PSU.Maximum of two 30Video cards per system (slot IDs 9, A are available)Power consumption: 2 watts combined +5V and +12VThis is not a clone or reverse engineered board, it is a 100% scratch new hardware design I developed along with a newly written DeclROM. I’ve done the best I can to test it thoroughly, but bugs are always possible. The firmware is field updatable within Mac OS, so I plan to release new features and any fixes as needed. Card has been has been tested with Asante MacCon, Radius FPD, Shiva Etherport, Fallaron TP594, SEthernet/30, Micron Xceed Color 30HR, Interware GrandVimage, Carrera 040, Interware Booster 30-SE50F, DiimoCache 030, Bolle Ethernet Riser and various ROM SIMMs across multiple different SE/30s. At this point no compatibility issues are known.Note: Apple designed the SE/30 to install one well-behaved PDS card. I've found that every combination of 2 cards I was able to test worked, though a good quality recapped & adjusted PSU is absolutely essential. Additional cards may work - I found most combinations of Accelerator + Grayscale + Ethernet were OK - but I can't guarantee every combination of cards out there will work. Please take care while installing as you must work around the CRT and high voltages.
