A8PicoCart multi cart Atari 600XL/800XL/XE/XEGS USA:
$19.95
Unlike an Atarimax, you can load up hundreds of roms on this, just by connecting it to your computer. It will then be a usb mass storage device, and you just drag the roms into the folder. it's as easy as that to collect roms and play them back on your Atari 800XL or XE computer. I now include the USB-C cable with the cart. (not pictured, but included). If you have a USB-C port on your Mac or PC (all recent ones have it) then you have everything you need to get started. When you plug the cart into your PC or Mac with the included cable, you can download files from a website like atarimania and then when you plug the cartridge into your Atari those games will be selectable from the menu of the A8PicoCart. The reset button on the A8PicoCart resets your Pico Cart, not your Atari. What that means is say you load Donkey Kong, if you reset the Atari, Donkey Kong appears again - the PicoCart is functioning as a Donkey Kong cart at that point. But you reset the Pico Cart with the button, then hit reset on the Atari, you get the A8PicoCart menu again. This saves you from having to power off your computer to get back to the menu.
I sure enjoyed building these carts. It is a lot of fun to put one together yourself. However, for those that don't wish to assemble one on their own, I am offering a fully assembled cart, ready to use, in this sale.
The picture is representative of what the cart looks like, it may not be the actual cart I send, I have already sold 50 of these carts, just got more in, so this the latest batch.
*This batch is white cart*.
Note to original Atari 400/800 owners:
About use on the original 48k Atari 800 and 48k (upgraded Atari 400), users on AtariAge report they must turn on the machine, then hit reset, and then it boots into the menu. I take returns for any reason, so feel free to simply try it.
Thanks
