This drive is in good condition. It appears to have come from the Atari Home Computer Division Engineering Labs. It sadly does not work fully. More below. Not sure what the Rev E stands for. It has a Rev C Rom in the side card.The Lab badge is made of metal. The other is paper.These make me wonder what cool software was built using this drive .....
The unit was disassembled. The plastics washed and cleaned. The case halves were also Retro-Brited. The color inside each part now matches the outside.The drive mechanism was dusted out. The head cleaned, and the travel rails cleaned and lubricated.The side board was opened and all chips reseated. The same for the other 2 boards.It was reassembled and tested.It comes with an Atari working and clean power supply, and a clean SIO cable
The power board is not functioning properly. The side card and drive mechanism work. They were tested with a working power board needed for another drive. This drive had a hard life. It was missing case 4 case, and drive chassis screws, all feet, all the bottom case metal screw-downs were missing. I replaced everything with what I had I could. It was held together with reinforced 1" packing tape. This caused some of the discoloring shown in the pictures.
It will be packed well for shipping.
