3D printed PSU mount for Altair 8800.
Printed with black PLA.I am building my own Altair 8800 using reproduction components. I am unsure if this mount would work in an original unit.
This mount is designed to hold one Meanwell HRP-75-7.5 and two Meanwell RS-15-15 power supplies which are available fromcommon component distributers like DigiKey, Mouser, and Jameco.
Mounting holes are provided to secure the power supplies and to mount to the case.
The mounting holes for the power supplies are designed for (7) M3 x 8 countersunk screws.
The mounting holes for securing the mount to the case are designed for (8) M4 x 10 screws. This provides room for a nut sincethe mount holes are not threaded and do not have inserts.
See photos for possible mounting options with a 9 slot backplane installed. Other considerations may need to be taken
depending on your specific configuration.
