Amiga 4001T Eagle Tower:
$2850.00

This is a listing for my Amiga 4001T Eagle Tower. It is a towerized amiga 4000 that has some awesome upgrades:

  • An A3660 Accelerator card with a 68060 rev 5 with FPU and MMU at 60MHz
  • A Commodore A4000D recapped motherboard with Buster 9 and Kickstart ROMs 3.2.2.1 - The battery is removed before it makes damage and replaced with a button sized one
  • 2MB Chip RAM on the Motherboard
  • 16MB Fast RAM on the Motherboard
  • 4MB Fast RAM on Zulu slot
  • An A2091 SCSI Controller with the AMD Full SCSI Controller Chip (the original had a Western Digital Prototype chip that is known to have issues) and the latest as far as I know ROMs v7.0
  • An Eagle A4001T busboard with several Zorro III slots and two video card slots (the Turbo button on the front panel chooses between the two video cards if populated)
  • An Antec Power Supply with 30A at the 5V line (standard A4000D provides 20A at 5V, so with this you have extra amperage)

It has a great line up of peripherals:
  • A Samsung 371B floppy modded for the Amiga (this model has RDY signal which gives you full compatibility with Amiga floppies as far as I know)
  • A 30x CD ROM drive
  • A CF to IDE converter with a 2GB CF Card
  • A caddy for SCSI drive (It is NOT hot plug! Please make sure you don't install or remove SCSI peripherals with power turned on, you WILL make irreversible damage!)
It is a big tower with a two fans, one at the front bottom and one at the top back (upgraded to Noctua for more silent and reliable operation - see pictures). The power switch is brand new. There is plenty of room to expand this amiga and keep it cool at the same time! The only negative points are the chipping at the top corner of the front facia and the occasional missing screws mostly at the front plastic, together with the missing covers of the SCSI interface covers at the back of the computer (usually this tower would use a flyer that would allow several SCSI devices to be connected at the back).
The A4000D keyboard is not included but if you want it, or you want a Lyra adapter that will allow you to connect a PS/2 keyboard to this amiga, let me know and I will list one for you for a good price. Unfortunately I don't have a spare Amiga mouse to sell.
The video (under review when I last updated the listing so you might have to come back to see it) shows the Amiga booting by accessing my Zulu SCSI in the caddy, then booting from the CF on the IDE and then showing both devices (Zulu SCSI on the A2091 and CF on the IDE of the motherboard) available.

Having said all the above, I am a private enthusiast and I cannot provide any warranty for this equipment as it has 30 years old electronics and they can fail at any time, so NO RETURNS will be accepted.

I will ship however with full insurance with UPS. This towered amiga will be shipped in a box inside a bigger moving box with a lot of padding to prevent any damage while transported. So shipping is not going to be cheap.

Happy to answer any questions or provide more pictures if you need them.
